Adding to the already 3 DTH service providers, Airtel has recently launched its own service. It also like big tv, runs on MPEG4 technology.
The additional benefits in Airtel DTH are
- worldspace radio channels
- single remote for both TV and set top box.
- supposedly better set top box configuration in terms of hardware.
- better interactive applications
- uniform audio levels over all channels
- larger dish diameter for better signal reception during bad weather.
and a few more minor additions.
The costs of this service seems to be a bit on the higher side compared to other service providers but with better quality and better customer care, it can be overlooked.
